Free Crochet Pattern: Chicago Swing Jacket

Are you looking for a cute little jacket to throw on during the cooling Autumn temperatures? Or, perhaps you need a little something in office buildings? I always like to take something with me to movie theaters. Why are theaters so chilly?

This darling little jacket was designed by Tammy Hildebrand and written in four sizes: small through extra large.

You may notice right away that the yarn is discontinued. In fact, the entire brand is discontinued. I’ve used this yarn many times. It’s a very soft chainette yarn in an acrylic/merino wool blend. Although I’ve seen this listed as an aran weight, I wouldn’t substitute any aran weight for it. I consider it to be a DK, maybe even a sport weight. When substituting yarns, I think I would try swatching Berroco Comfort DK or Knit Picks Brava DK. For a lighter, more spring-y blend, I would use Fawn by Willow Yarns.
