Free Crochet Pattern: Cropped Sweater

This lovely little shrug is perfect for the upcoming spring to wear over a light top or dress. Mary Jane Hall designed this pattern for the book, Top It Off!, which was originally published by Annie’s Attic Publishing and they’ve now made this one available on the internet for free. There are 12 other designs in the book. If you like this style, you may also be interested in the others. Keep an eye out online for used book sellers like eBay and Etsy.

Mary Jane has designed this garment in readily-available Caron Simply Soft and it’s written in one size to fit older teens and up to size medium adult. If you would like to make it in additional sizes, you will need to make some adjustments for a nice fit.

I’m really impressed with the construction of this little cropped sweater. It’s a unique construction and perfectly tailored. Make sure that you understand the construction basics of it before you try to increase the size.
