Free Crochet Pattern: Cuddly Koala Lovey

I want to welcome Jess Coppom of Make & Do Crew as a featured designer here at Make It Crochet! This is my first time featuring her and, really, can you blame me?

Just look at this adorable lovey. Koalas are one of my favorite marsupials as well. I remember studying marsupials with my first two kids during homeschool lessons. There are so many adorable little creatures in Australia!

I’ve received questions about loveys in my Free Crochet Patterns group on Facebook. Think of them as a squishy stuffed animal and a little tiny blanket combined into one project. They’re just little comfort toys. When my oldest was a baby (30 years’ ago), I remember that he had a rabbit comfort blankey. These have been around forever but it’s only been in the last three years or so that I’ve seen these stuffed animal loveys in crochet patterns.

Because you may be giving these to small children and babies, please follow the same rules you would normally for children under 3 years with regard to the use of buttons, ribbon and certain fibers.

Pick up your free crochet pattern at Make & Do Crew HERE.

Please note that the pattern is available free to view on the internet. You can print or create a PDF, as you desire. If you prefer to have the designer create the PDF for you, there is a minimal fee.

Enjoy!
