While browsing for free crochet patterns last night, I discovered this delightful set designed by Bendy Carter. The pattern includes all pieces shown: the cardigan, along with the matching hat and scarf. What fun!
This pattern is written for little girl sizes of 6, 8 and 10. We don’t have all that many patterns available in these sizes so it’s always special when I find something like this.
Note that the pattern uses a chenille yarn called Jewel Box from Caron. This yarn has been discontinued many, many years. When you’re looking for yarn, I’m sure Simply Soft will work. You’ll want to stay in the lighter range of size 4 yarns. I think this cardigan would look super cute in a tweed or fleck yarn.
The matching hat and scarf is included in the pattern. You’ll find them on the last page.

I’ll be giving away an 11-piece Tunisian crochet hook set along with a double-ended, cabled Tunisian hook from Chiagoo.
