Free Crochet Pattern: Summer Fields Sundress

This cute little dress, designed by Cindy Carlson, was original published in the July 2010 issue of Crochet! magazine. Annie’s Crafts (formerly Annie’s Attic) has now graciously made the pattern available for free on one of their free pattern websites.

You’ll be thrilled to discover that the pattern for this little dress is written for toddler sizes, 18 months through 4T. These aren’t as easy to find as baby sizes so I know you’ll want to grab this one.

The yarn used for the original was a corn-based yarn from South West Trading Company and has been discontinued. When substituting yarns, look for something soft and about 142 yards per 50 grams (about 2.6 yards per gram). In my research, it looks like this is the size of Bernat Softee Baby which is exactly the same yards per gram in an easy-care acrylic. You may also want to look for an acrylic/cotton blend in the same size.

Pick up your free crochet pattern download at the Annie’s Crafts sister site, Free-Crochet (dot) com HERE. Free registration and login required.

If you sign in and the website takes you back to the home page and you have trouble getting back to the specific pattern page, come back here and click the link again.

Enjoy!
