Free Crochet Pattern: Sunday Best

While browsing around for your featured crochet beauty today, I happened upon this adorable dress and jacket set which I hadn’t seen before. It’s designed by Ann E. Smith and uses a sport weight yarn, perfect for the lightweight garments to be used in spring and summer.

You’ll be delighted that this pattern is written for sizes 18 months through child size 4.

Premier Yarns Serenity Sport was used for this project, which has been discontinued. I’ve researched it and Premier plans to introduce a replacement yarn in their Everyday yarn line, but I haven’t seen it released yet.

Call me a rebel, but I noticed that Premier Yarns Cotton Fair has almost exactly the same yardage per weight of the former Serenity Sport.

CottonFair

Cotton Fair is a cotton blend, making it entirely suitable for lightweight garments. I would definitely have to try it to see if I could get gauge because it comes in several fabulous colors.
