When you’re looking for a gift, these Matching Sets work perfectly. Sometimes a hat is just not enough. Once you add the scarf or even matching fingerless gloves, you’ll level up your gift giving talent.
When you start out knowing how much yarn and time you’ll need, it makes it easy to plan out all your gift giving.
Can You Sell Your Projects?
All of the patterns here at Make It Crochet can be used for selling your finished projects. You don’t even need to credit me as the designer and, in fact, I don’t know why that idea ever got started.
I’ve always thought that there’s no need to tell your competitors where you get your patterns and I’m certainly not going to force you to do it.
You can’t use my photos, though! You’ll need to crochet them up and post your own photos.
If you’re a seller, I’ve found that matching sets of hat and scarf can be sold for around $45-55. Adding the mitts can bring it up to $60. Your mileage may vary since different regions fall under different cost index levels.
Cranberry Lace Matching Set
The Cranberry Lace Matching Set is a perfect gift for the transition between cold and warm weather. It’s great for Spring and Fall and only takes about 4 to 4 1/2 hours to complete. You can make both out of one skein of Lion Brand Re-Spun Bonus Bundle.
Nautilus Scarf and Headwrap Set
The Nautilus Matching Set is the first Tunisian crochet matching set here at MakeItCrochet. The unique stitch pattern makes it a perfect gift for both men and women. The worsted weight yarn is warm, super squishy and comfortable.
Impeccable Tweed Crochet Patterns
This Impeccable Tweed Set has an almost knit look to it. I’m not sure. Maybe a “broken rib”?
Using Size 4 weight “Impeccable Tweed” from Loops & Threads with a super easy stitch pattern means that you can have this 4-piece set finished in record time.
You’ll need 4 skeins of yarn and less than 6 hours of your time. The mitts alone take only one hour! The total yarn cost is about $20.
Lace Shell Crochet Patterns
For a lightweight hat and scarf set, perfect for more temperate climates, you’ll love the ease of making beautiful shell lace.
The matching set takes less than 8 hours and only 3 skeins of yarn, for a total yarn cost of $12.
Stacked Shells Crochet Patterns
The Stacked Shells Hat and Scarf set is made in a lightweight yarn, with a slightly more dense stitch pattern. It’s thicker than the Lace set, without compromising the drape and beauty.
Because of the more dense stitch pattern, the hat and scarf can be made in 11 hours, with 3 skeins of yarn. Yarn cost is about $12 total.
I will continue to add sets here as they are produced. Enjoy!

All the patterns at Make It Crochet are free. Since many of you have asked how to help with the costs of running a site like this, I’ve made all the patterns into print-ready PDFs and the cost is about the same as a cup of coffee. Every little bit helps.
